The Vellala Samithi Trust which has been playing a significant role in social development activities in the capital city of Thiruvananthapuram celebrated it’s Pearl Jubilee on 3rd March 2024 at SP Grand Days in a grand manner.

Chairman Mr. S. C. Pillai delivered the welcome speech by recalling the contribution of former Managing Trustees Shri. P. Chidambaram and Mr. P. Subramani. The Chairman suggested to institute an Endowment Fund for at least 25 lakhs should be implemented in this financial year for the efficient operations of the Trust. He also specially appreciated the Secretary for preparing the Activity Report in a photo-centric colourful layout and content..

The AGM started at 6.30 P M at the PRS Hall, Trivandrum Tamil Sangam, Killipalam, by paying floral tributes to the former Managing Trustees Mr. P. Chidambaram and Mr. P. Subramani.

Secretary Dr. S. Mothilal Nehru read out the minutes of last year’s Annual General Meeting. The meeting unanimously passed it. Along with this, the secretary also presented the annual report before the house and it was passed unanimously.

The present Auditor M/s Vijay & Associates have been re-appointed for the current year. Then discussions started. Trustees Mr.R.Muralidharan Pillai, Mr.B.Radhakrishna Pillai, Mr.P.Satyanarayana and Mr.B.Rajesh participated in the discussions.
